Cyanotype is a precise, hands-on photographic technique from the 1800s that creates prints in rich blue tones. It has been an central part of my work for the last 6 years and it felt only fitting that it would be central for my first collection in this art shop. Each piece is made by hand upon order, created in a dark room and then printed through light exposure over time. This also means that each print comes out a little different and unique.

As a child I felt like there were fewer limits to this world. I saw no reason why we could not talk to the birds, be friends with the butterflies and knit with the spiders. In my art I often try to access a little bit of that childish wonder and imagination. I think of the artworks in this collection as small windows to another world. A world similar to our own, but with an ecosystem in which the humans are not always on top and sizes and limits are ever changing, like they often are in our dreams.
